Yorkie - The Perfect Puppy
Unless you are looking for a physically imposing "Junk Yard Dog", your best choice from every perspective is a Yorkie. OK, your children can't ride it like a horse but then again, you're not buying them a pony. You're buying a wonderful companion who will brighten your life, be wonderful company and let you know if there are strangers around.

A great dog and a great Investment
People often ask me why Yorkies are so expensive. It's because they make so much money for their owners.
A girl will, on average have a litter of two boys and two girls once a year. If we supply the male to cover her and sell the puppies for you, after all your expenses you should have a profit of R15,000 every year for 6-8 years, that's not a bad return on a R6000 investment.
Boys are another matter but riskier investments pay higher returns. A good Yorkie stud makes his owners R2000 per week. That's R100,000 a year assuming you give him a 2 week vacation. Boys sell for R4000 to R10000 depending on size and potential stud quality.

We do not breed for "Teacup", "Pocket" or "Chocolate" Yorkies.
As responsible breeders we want you to buy a healthy long-lived companion. The fact of the matter is that Yorkies under 2kg have a much shorter average life-span and many more health problems than those over 2kg. While we do, occasionally, find ourselves with a smaller puppy that is not the object of our breeding program.
If you purchase a Yorkie on the basis of small size, ask the breeder if they will refund any Vet bills and refund your money if the dog dies within 3 years from illness. We can supply you with telephone numbers of others who have made this mistake. Their stories are heartbreaking, they have spent tens of thousands of Rands trying to save basically unhealthy animals only to have them die within weeks or months of buying them. Not only are these breeders breading runts of one litter to runts of another litter but they also sometimes deprive them of the nutrition they need to grow just so someone will pay them another thousand Rands.
We aim at a weight of 2 - 2.5 kg. We have never had a dog die from natural causes at an early age. We are recommended to her customers by our Vet because we breed for good health not for tiny size.
"Chocolate" Yorkies are genetically defective. KUSA will not register such dogs and will strike breeders who attempt to breed these mutants.
Love for Sale
The person who said that you can't buy love, never purchased a Yorkie!
While they may bark at strangers, they just adore their owners. Whenever we come home or open our bedroom door in the morning they practically jump out of their skins, they are so happy to see us.
They naturally want to be near you, whether you let them sit on your lap or make them sit at your feet, whenever you get up they get up too so they can follow you.
When you begin pet them you can see the love in their eyes, usually they will turn over on their backs so you can rub their bellies, the nicest feeling they have ever had, their eyes often rolling back into their heads as they enjoy your touch.
We just love Yorkshire Terriers. It's a rare person who doesn't.
They are not only beautiful, they have wonderful, big, bright & cheerful personalities and love people.
Yorkies are small enough to be a take-along pet. Small ones can fit right in your pocket, larger ones in a handbag. The biggest problem is people stopping you and wanting to pet them.
If you would like to have a little more love in your life, buy one or two of our sweet babies. They are all hand reared with love.
Who Are We?
We are Ian & Erika, the proprietors of Perfect Puppy, the loving owners of 8 lovely Yorkie girls. Eventually we plan to have 12 little mothers. While we have 2 males (1 sterilized) our females are almost always mated to outside males, each one chosen specifically to emphasize the good points and correct bad points in each female.
In addition to raising Yorkies, we are art dealers specializing in designing marble mosaics. We work from home so we are available to the dogs 24/7.
Ian is the pied piper of the brood who follow him around everywhere. Generally, he takes care of the needs of all the non-pregnant girls.
Erika takes care of mating the girls to suitable males always trying to make sure the babies will be healthy and better than either parent. She takes special care of the pregnant girls, births and cares for the puppies. She even sleeps with them and makes sure they're healthy, happy and well socialized.
The kids, Ilze and Jon are also part of the socializing process. They take the puppies out so they get used to such things as traffic, little children, parks, bicycles, etc.
We also employ a doggy nanny, bathing them, cleaning up after them and generally loving them to death.
